Andalusian Cadence

The iconic descending bass line — Am · G · F · E — is the spine of flamenco and countless classical guitar pieces. The progression moves in the Phrygian mode: each chord shifts the bass down by a whole step until landing on E major, giving that dramatic, Spanish-flavoured resolution. Experiment with rasgueado on the E chord for a flamenco texture.
