Jazz ii–V–I in C

The ii–V–I is the most important harmonic movement in jazz. Dm7 (ii) creates tension, G7 (V) increases it further, and Cmaj7 (I) resolves it with warmth. This three-chord loop is the building block of almost every jazz standard. Practise it in all 12 keys once you are comfortable here.
